Gravity off

Folded in as the Science simulation

Two columns for the whole site: the ground on the left, orbit on the right. On the left everything obeys gravity, settles and stacks. On the right the same elements hang where they were placed. A poster language from the space-age print archive: one orbit line, two colours, type at architectural scale.

Watch the same solution twice

Left, in gravity: a plume rises up the middle, crystals sink, collide and grow unevenly. Right, in orbit: only diffusion, every crystal the same size.

Colour

Orbit night#0c111c
Poster bone#e4e5e7
Parachute#e0562b

Two-colour print on night. Dark plus one hot accent is close to the generic space look, so it depends on the type and the split to escape it.

Panchang for headings, Supreme for text

On the ground a crystal sinks and the well stirs itself. In orbit both stop.

Panchang, a wide extended face, at poster scale; Supreme for text. Wide faces are the space category's cliché (Stoke, every rocket startup), which is why this was risky.

Where it could go wrong

Not chosen, because it looks like the category. Its simulation is now on the home page orbit section and full width on Science.
