Stillroom grows pharmaceutical crystals in orbit for twelve days and lands them on a salt lake in South Australia. The people reading are formulation scientists handing over years of work. They need to feel that the most delicate thing in the story, a crystal 40 µm wide, is in careful hands through the most violent part of it, eight minutes of re-entry. The space category defaults to black, starfields, rockets and slogans. Each board below is a different answer to the same question: how do you make care and precision visible, with motion that comes from the flight itself?
Each board starts from what the subject makes people feel, not from a style. Each has a live motion study in code, a palette taken from real materials, its type, the sites it borrows from and where it could fail. One was chosen and built. The other two each gave it one idea.
